Our Ministries Worship High Point Friends Meeting is first and foremost a worshipping community. The Quaker author, Richard Foster, writes, “To worship is to experience reality, to touch life. It is to know, to feel, to experience the resurrected Christ in the midst of the gathered community.” This is the aim of all of our worship opportunities. Meeting For Worship Sundays at 11:00 a.m. This programmed meeting offers an opportunity for worship by incorporating silence, sharing, singing, special music, prayer, and a message from the pastor. 5th Night Unprogrammed Worship Thursdays at 7:00 p.m. This unprogrammed meeting for worship offers an opportunity to worship in the manner of early Friends. Worshipers gather in silence, with no previously arranged order. As worshipers are led by God’s Spirit, they minister out of the silence. Monthly Meeting The Third Sunday of every month at 12:30 p.m. This is an opportunity for us to gather as a community to discern how we will conduct the business of the Meeting. We also share a fellowship time and meal. Open House WorshipOpen House Worship is a new worship opportunity at High Point Friends. This intergenerational worship service is open to anyone who wants to worship God in a FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT with Praise & Worship, Drama, Media, Bible Teaching, Open Worship & Prayer Ministry, and Coffee, Cookies & Fellowship. Meets on 1st and 3rd Sundays at 6:35 p.m.
